Canaan Valley
For Leslie’s birthday we did a long weekend trip out to the Canaan Valley in West Virginia. It’s a beautiful location - lush greens, wetlands, rolling hills. We even found a beaver dam, pictured below. We did a one mile hike - which may not seem like much but it was the longest walk that Leslie has done in a long time, thanks to the effects that Lyme disease have had on her knee but is now gradually but positively on the mend. She was very excited to get that milestone on her birthday!
Canaan Valley is the highest valley east of the Mississippi at 3,200ft (975m)
