UX Lessons from Hand Drying #3

Lesson #3: If the product is actually intuitive, you won’t have to announce it

Ever hear that line, “It’s really intuitive once you get used it”? That’s what this dryer reminded me of. It’s so intuitive they called it Intuition. In fact, it’s the Intuition II, as apparently the Intuition I was not intuitive enough. Still, if it really was so hyper intuitive, they wouldn’t need a little icon at the bottom explaining how to wave your hand in front of it, or call out the fact that it has a No-Touch Sensor. Those things would be, like, really obvious.
