The rant is hilarious and proof again of the additional challenge of systems vs. products, especially when the whole service part is outside of your control (and company).
Systems are tough to do well, no doubt about it, but that's why they give such good competitive advantage if you pull them off :) Bringing other partners into the mix, as is often required, makes it all the more complicated.
