    Lee Iacocca Stirs it up

From Lee Iacocca’s new book, “Where Have All the Leaders Gone?”

Am I the only guy in this country who’s fed up with what’s happening? Where the hell is our outrage? We should be screaming bloody murder. We’ve got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we’ve got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can’t even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, “Stay the cours.”

Stay the course? You’ve got to be kidding. This is America, not the damned Titanic. I’ll give you a sound bite: Throw the bums out!

I’ll go a step further. You can’t call yourself a patriot if you’re not outraged.

iacoca.jpgAnd that’s just the first page.

Not what you’d expect from a former car company executive! The last quarter of the book gets a bit maudlin, but the first three quarters is a sprawling, plain-spoken assessment of the state of America, from Iacocca’s point of view. He takes on government (and voter apathy), the car industry (why are the US companies so behind on hybrids?), business ethics, healthcare, education, and immigration. It’s a quick read, I ran through it in a 4 hour flight, but gets you thinking.

    Adam--

Take a second look at your spelling of the author's name ... it's "Iacocca," not "Iacoca." :)

    Hello

I came across an excerpt of his book today. I love the message.. but until we can de-politicize these discussions..nothing will change. The issues that we face in this country can no longer be viewed as being right or left... the magnitude of them is simply so monumental that they must be addressed outside the scope of politics. Of course, I am not naive enough to believe that these solutions don't have a political twist.. but I can assure you that the issues of health care and Social Security are so much larger than anything that we have ever faced....

The reason we don't have leaders anymore is because they are afraid. If they are not part of the New World Order machine then they have no power. We need a citizen revolt.
Please go to www.stopthenorthamericanunion.com and look at the videos that they have. Go to the bottom and view the Kay Griggs video and the Lindsey Williams video. Also get ahold of "confessions of an economic hitman". Then you'll know what's going on. Do you want to take the red pill or the blue pill? Thank You, Lee Iacocco, for speaking out.
